The Armidale Oncology Day Unit has a cancer Care Coordinator whose role is:

  • To coordinate care between patients and health professionals and facilities.
  • Receive referrals, makes appointments, and ensures all diagnostic tests/procedures are completed prior to the appointment.
  • Provides women/men and their families with one consistent source of information and care throughout the treatment plan
  • Acts as the principal liaison between you, your GP and your Oncology team.
  • Coordinates all aspects of your care from diagnosis onwards.
  • Can be an invaluable source of information regarding other support services for you and your family.
