IPTAAS – Isolated Patients Travel and Assistance Scheme

A partial reimbursement scheme for people who attend the nearest treating specialist for treatment or consultation over 100km from their door. This is not a means tested scheme. If you are not on a pension there is a contribution of $40 per claim. You may also be eligible for assistance if you are travelling a cumulative distance of 200kms or more in a week.
